Things I Loathe:
- Sneezing uncontrollably.
- Crying.
- People using your mug without permission, then not washing it properly!!!
- Taking the boy to the airport. Sigh.
- Sour cream. And mayonnaise.
Things I Love:
- Rachmaninoff concerti. Mmph.
- The boy.
- Near constant rain--it made for the perfect lazy day yesterday.
- Yesterday.
- Cheese dip!
- Getting to grow my nails out for the first time since I was 15. I'll cut them soon, but may I just say I have fabulous nails? They're strong, grow quickly, and not brittle. Wish I could give them to someone who could use 'em.

Okay, since all my neighbors seem to be doing this cool "Things on Tuesday" ...thing, I think I'm gonna try it myself. (Pardon my being a day late on this... I'd planned to do it yesterday and just forgot. Whoops.)
Things I Loathe:
- Fashion magazines with a bajillion pages before the table of contents.
- Being too tired to fully enjoy the all-too-rare boyfriend time.
- That the boyfriend leaves in a week! =(
- Journals and magazines with the volume and number on the cover!
- Having any boyfriend time at all!
- That Brian and I shelled out some extra money to extend his trip. (An extra week = worth $150.)
So, just finished Breaking Dawn. (Two weeks after it came out!!! I know, I know, what's wrong with me?! I've been busy, damn it!!) I shall probably write extensively about it soon, but for now... I have two weeks of neighborhood to catch up on.
"When was the last time you were at a wedding that had a death defying hike, rogue waves, a luau, ultimate fighting, a presidential candidate and a budding bromance?" asks Papi Chulo. For most of us, the answer is never, but luckily, Papi Chulo and Secret Agent Scotch took the time to Vox all the amazing moments during their unforgettable Hawaiian wedding on 08.08.08 so we could all take part in the festivities.
The story began last February, when Papi Chulo popped the question and Secret Agent Scotch said yes! Since then, they've kept us in the loop about all the details, from the bride's veil to the wedding song to the final To-Do List. And throughout it all, they inspired us with their love for each other. (I'm pretty sure it doesn't get any better than knowing your future husband thinks you are The Perfect Girl.)
It's an amazing love story and we are thrilled they shared it with us. Watch the video of the ceremony and please join us in wishing Papi Chulo and Secret Agent Scotch the fairytale ending they deserve.
And What's a Team Vox Post without New Themes?
Spice up your Vox blog with one of our latest themes (found in the design area under "New") or any of our hundreds of themes. From shopping to sushi, comics to cycling, there's something for everyone.
Can't get enough of the wedding? A few lucky Voxers - Krissy, djchall, and Beau Smith - made the trip to Hawaii to take part in the celebration. Check out their Vox blogs for more pictures and stories.
Congratulations again to Secret Agent Scotch and Papi Chulo! Enjoy the Honeymoon!
Is anyone else suddenly and for no discernible reason getting an influx of private messaging spam on Vox? I've gotten two in the last day, and it's really pissing me off.
I've got me some Breaking Dawn!!! (Side note: at 12:07 I walked into Books-a-Million, was the last person to receive a book, and they seemed to be shutting things down after me. What the hell! They are too efficient for their own good.) I'll not be visiting my friend The Internet until I finish it, which, thanks to my practicing schedule, will probably not be till Sunday evening. (I fear teh spoilerz.)
I'm an excited lady!
At Vox, we believe that change is a good thing. After all, you wouldn't wear the same t-shirt day in and day out, so why should your blog have to suffer the same fate? Give your blog a new look with one of our latest themes (found under "New"), or pick from any of our hundreds of themes designed with your passions and personality in mind.
Until then... Enjoy!

A short music post!
What I'm listening to right now:
I always enjoy telling myself that I'm starting a new "segment" on my blog, so let's go ahead and say this can be a new segment--knowing I will probably never make another post like this again.
Final Fantasy VIII--FFVIII, for us cool kids--came out shortly after I'd gotten my Playstation and fallen in love with Final Fantasy VII. FF7 I loved, but 8... 8 was something else for me. It remains probably my favorite game of all time (perhaps even trumping the classic NES, Sega, and SNES games I love so much!), and although my gaming days are mostly over, I still can't think of FF8 without getting all squishy inside. (For you other gamers, I know, I know--FF7 is apparently infinitely better, but I can't help it. Nothing ever moved me the way 8 did.) My most memorable moment of the game is the scene I'm about to post. Now YouTube has made it convenient for me to watch whenever I want; back in the Day, however, I reserved a precious memory card spot for this video alone so I could watch it whenever I wanted. (And I'll never forget the nice/nerdily cute guy who worked at Electronics Boutique who confessed he had done the same thing.) Aside from the fact that this was just gorgeous animation (especially at the time; I think it still is), I love love loved the music, and the music of Nobuo Uematsu continues to remain that nagging inspiration in me: "Don't score films; score games!" Mmmph.
